Which side of your family do you resemble more?
I have come to believe that I am a perfect amalgam of the two folks that birthed me. Strangely enough, I look more like my uncle (dad's bro) than I do my father. Which raises questions in itself.
My sense of kindness, responsibility, practicality, and love comes from my mom. My sense of humor, incredible aloofness (is that a word?) and creativity come from my dad.
The tremendous amount of body hair comes from my mom.
There is a natural disaster headed your way. You get 4 standard sized canvas grocery totes to fill with valuables and provisions to bring with you to a safe place. What would you put into your 4 bags and why?

Bag One: Cat food, dog food, water, a kitten
Bag Two: Cash, my laptop & hard drive, insurance papers, marriage cert., misc. financial papers
Bag Three: Jenn's jewelry, my autographed Gossage, Joe Torre, Tony Gwynn baseballs. A pair of shorts, three tshirts and some underpants
Bag Four: Food
Cell phone, wallet and car keys in pocket. Guitar on my shoulder, dog on a leash. We're good to go.
*The "why" part of this question? It's because they are things I like and need to have around.

Whatever is going to truly hurt someone's feelings. If it offends them...then that's their own fucking problem. But, if it makes them sad or want to cry...that's going too far. Make people mad but not cry. I hate when people cry.
If you had one month to live, what five things would you do?

1. Finish one of my books and send it to a publisher. Then let my family deal with it all.
2. Spend every waking moment with my sweetheart and my puppy.
3. Make a will.
4. Go home and visit my family, hug my mom.
5. Walk around naked, at all times, strumming my ukulele and serenading strangers.

I never answer these QotD things, but I'm in a great mood from winning NaNoWriMo so:
1. I would perform an interpretive dance wearing a tube top, thong speedo, flip flops, and huge hoop earings, while the re-formed Electric Light Orchestra played, in order, each song of the Beatle's White Album.

2. I would choose to study painting under Leonardo DaVinci.
or
3. I would sing acapella while Zamfir played his pan-flute.

4. I would gently massage the shoulders of Jimi Hendrix while he played a live concert to the citizens of Holland (I love tulips). If he played especially well, I would rub his feet.

5. I would re-create the diner scene from Resevoir Dogs with the following people: Ex-Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray, John Madden, Stephen Hawking, the kid that played Corky on Life Goes On, Dom DeLouise, and Yao Ming. This would be performed live in front of an audience of little people at a community theater in Des Moines, Iowa.
It's totally a tie.
